Ok so this week I'm wondering, if people say that home is where the heart is, does that mean you don't need a physical home? Can you create it in your heart? Does it live in other people or within you?
I'm asking myself where and what home is lately, I'm exhausted from all the moving around and honestly, hopping on a plane or train lately makes me feel very anxious indeed. Chatting to some travel bloggers this week, I discovered many are not nomadic, but set up a cosy home base from which they can safely step out into the world and explore. I'm not sure if I'm quite there yet but something of a base is calling my name, or maybe a few bases, places where I know the routines and the people and can skip the overwhelming discomfort that accompanies figuring out how to be you in a completely foreign city.
If you can create a home and a safe place in your soul, it would seem you could go out into the world and do some pretty extraordinary things with this super power. But physical comfort still plays a part. I'm thinking the key is in the balance point between creating a safe space in your heart and a somewhat safe space in your physical world.
I created some backgrounds for my phone last week as a little reminder throughout the day (whenever I check my phone, which is frequently) to stop, remember I'm safe and home in the present moment, Download here : )
