There's something special in the practice of waking up in the dark to prepare for the sun's rising. I can't do it every morning but making time for this sacred event every so often, I can do.
Coral Beach is a good spot for sunrise up here. Check the times for sunrise here, plan to set out on foot about an hour before the sun comes up. You'll walk about 15 minutes in the dark from Shute Harbour/Coral Beach car park on the Coral Beach Walking Track through Conway National Park to reach the rocky, shelly beach. You'll see the sun rise over the mountains of the National Park, a perfect time for meditation in nature.
p.s. Don't swim here, danger of crocodiles!
