Les Piaules finds itself in the cool up-and-coming area of Belleville in Paris' east. This part of town doesn't come with a side of gold or marble, it's not that kind of Paris. If you're looking for a more 'locals' area, where young people really do live, hang out, eat, drink (some call it the Brooklyn of Paris), this is it. Les Piaules even give you a map on arrival with all their local spots.
There's dorm rooms with bunks for travellers on a budget, which in Paris, a lot of us are. There's private rooms too with big bed, own bathroom and natural light.
Up on the rooftop, they throw BBQs, in the bar people sit around to eat breakfast, use their laptops, share a beer. 10 minutes metro ride from Paris' centre, this is a cool sleeping option for travellers wanting to see yet another side of the city.
