You'll find this hip hotel with a beautiful bistro bar/restaurant in Pigalle, the former red light district of Paris. OK so yes it's a modern recreation of the Parisien bistros of yesteryear, but there's still some history here; the building was once the post-World War II one-star hotel, Hotel des Artistes and Renoir and Toulouse-Lautrec lived at the artist residence across the street for a time in the twenties.
We came here to eat chips and sandwiches and hide out from the cold in a little bit of luxury but you can sleep here too, the rooms are incredible. Escape to a lovely old-Paris-meets-new-design world for an hour or two, huddled up in a booth or perched along the wooden bar.
