Our Land Island Resort is named so as a place to be shared, respectfully, with mother nature and the local villages. There are no fences here and locals from the surrounding villages come here to fish or just to pass through the grounds.
Nature rules here, green vines and leaves had overtaken the tree house we called home and underfoot there's no concrete, just dirt and grass and bamboo, shoes are very optional. It's a very back-to-nature vibe here but our rooms felt quite luxe and lovely too, there are only six rooms on the whole island. Food is all included and always plentiful; it's Kerala cuisine using whatever vegetables are growing there or in the villages or the catch of the day.
By day, all we could hear were birds chirping, houseboats chugging by and the breeze blowing the bamboo trees together, by night, it was insects and frogs chirping and raindrops on the tin roof.
