In the middle of a forest in the far West of Berlin, a pile of WWII rubble forms a hill where this abandoned tower, a Cold War-era spy station, is found.
Climb the hill through dense, dark Grunewald Forest, then circumnavigate the barbwire fence until you reach the entrance. Silent tours are taken on the hour for a small fee, the only way to get in.
Wander the eerie grounds, climbing the concrete levels, seeing graffiti art and views out over the dark forest to the city lights in the distance.
Cracks and signs of decay are everywhere here, but someone saw the beauty in it all and left it as it is.
