On the outskirts of Marrakesh there's a field of the dreamiest roses I've ever seen, bursting open with colour in the Moroccan sun at Beldi Country Club. The grounds here go on and on, with bright pink bougainvilleas and leafy green trees lining the paths and buildings, providing shade and dappled light.

There's a ceramics studio in the middle of it all, more of a watch and have-a-go thing than a serious class, but sweet all the same with some happy guys working in the studio.

There's little boutiques, a glass blowing studio, so many pretty glass-covered atriums and greenhouses, we were here for hours and didn't see it all. I didn't quite expect to find this in Marrakech but I'm glad we did.
